County Line Updates

County Line Road Expansion Update: February 28, 2023

Phase 1-C construction on County Line Road from Carlson Lane to Harvest Ridge Boulevard estimated completion date is early April to open this section. Phase 1-C has had nearly four weeks of weather delays and six weeks of delays related to utility conflicts. Phase 1-B Harvest Ridge to the north driveway of the EHS Student parking lot scheduled to begin in April. Phase 1-C the area in front of Elgin High School will be under construction this summer. The contract amount for all phases is $6,817,268.20 funded through Certificates of Obligation 2021A and developer agreements. An area of increased erosion was monitored by City staff and temporary cones etc. were placed in this area. The City engaged Patin Construction to shore up and pour flowable fill into the void off the edge of the roadway and around this drainage culvert as a temporary fix. The impacted area will be under construction with Phase 1-B, and this temporary measure will be removed and replaced as the permanent roadway improvements continue in this area. The final pavement grade will be installed when all phases are completed. Updates on the County Line Road project will be provided monthly at Update link above.
